IMPORTANT INFO

  • Ages: 5-16yrs

  • Capacity: maximum 5 children.

  • What do you need? Just some space on a table or on the floor. I will adapt to whatever you have available.

  • What do I provide? Aprons, a waterproof tablecloth, all art materials + keepsakes that each of the children will be working on during the sessions, and that they will be able to take home to remember the day by.

  • How long does the activity last? 2hrs and a half + I will arrive 15 mins early and leave 15 mins later to take care of the set up and tidying.

  • How much does it cost? £140 EVERYTHING INCLUDED. You won’t have to think about a thing. Deposit is 25% and will be due a month in advance or when you book (depending on which of the two is closest to the birthday party date).

What activities do you offer?

Some example of activities I offer are a painting, drawing, or printmaking class, a photography class, flower printing, tote bag printing, comic book making, some Minecraft-themed activity, or just a small series of art games (I’ve got some great ones that always leave the kids -and myself- in stitches). But the possibilities are endless! I’ll do my best to work with any request you might have and any interests of your child.

- Included with every birthday session is a keepsake so each participant has a lovely reminder of the day when they get home. It could be me providing a frame for the drawing they made or them making a frame themselves, or a decorated tote bag, a pencil case, a small sculpture, or anything that can be printed on really!

PRACTICALITIES AND FAQS

  • I make a completely tailored plan for each party, depending on interests, age, and number of children.

    
I will be in touch discuss your preferences and your child’s interests a month to two weeks before the party date (if we haven’t decided this already).

  • While that of course would be a plus, anyone can have fun and benefit from making a bit of art, regardless of skill or interest. Every child is an artist. All that matters is finding the thing that they enjoy doing.

    Is your child super into math, science, geography, fashion, a tv series, or some game like Minecraft and Roblox? I will make sure to create sessions they can enjoy by connecting art with the things they love and are familiar with. After all, art is about exploring the world in a way that makes sense to you. Whatever way that is, it is always valid, and I am here to be of guidance in figuring that out.

  • I cover any area in and around Edinburgh that is within a 20 minute walk from a bus stop. I have a handy wee trolley that I use to take all the materials with me.

    I can travel further away for the weekend sessions so do get in touch if that interests you.

  • Unlike my standard sessions, I accept bookings for my artsy birthday parties any day of the week. So just let me know what your preference would be and I’ll do my best to adjust to it.

  • I understand cancellations can happen, especially with children.

    Regardless of when you cancel, I will do my best to be able to re-arrange the birthday party for you. If you cannot rearrange the session, then I will refund the payment minus the deposit.

    I ask you to pay extra consideration when it comes to sicknesses:

    • If you child is displaying mild cold symptom, please let me know in advance so I can pay particular attention to sanitisation, perhaps leave a window open, or lead the session in the garden if possible.

    • If your child is displaying more serious symptoms please make sure the session is cancelled and is not rescheduled until full recovery.
